Traveling in for the DogCo Summit

Hotel Block

We’ve acquired a block of rooms at the Winston Salem Marriott (located at 425 Cherry St.) for the event. The hotel is within a 2 minute walk of the Benton Convention Center, which is the location of the conference.

To reserve a room out of the group block, please go here.

(If sold out, please email michelle@dogcolaunch.com - we have a second block available if the first sells out, but you will need to email to inquire.)

Airports

The closest airport to Winston Salem, NC, is the Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO).

If you fly into this airport, it’s about a 20 minute drive into Downtown Winston Salem. If you choose to not rent a car, you should not have an issue getting an uber from this airport.

There are two other airports that are optional as well for your travel:

  • Raleigh International Airport (approximately 1.5 hours from Winston Salem) - RDU

  • Charlotte Douglas International Airport (approximately 1.25 hours from Winston Salem) - CLT

Transportation options while in Winston Salem

If flying in to GSO airport, taking an Uber or a Lyft into Downtown Winston Salem will not be difficult to find. Once you are downtown, you will not need a car - the hotel and convention center are a walkable distance from each other, and if any events take place outside of downtown, it will be easy enough to acquire an Uber! There are plenty of dining options in downtown Winston Salem for the weekend.

If flying into RDU or CLT, I recommend renting a car. Acquiring an Uber from either of these airports - as they are an hour away - would be much more expensive than renting a car.

If you are driving in for the conference, please contact your accommodations to see about if they have parking. Driving in Winston Salem (and through downtown) is no issue if you have a car - you do not need to expect heavy traffic.

FAQs

What dates should I plan for my travel?

The conference festivities will begin late afternoon Friday (26th) and will conclude at approximately 5 pm on Sunday (28th). We have an AMAZING line of speakers, so if you can stay through the entirety of the conference, you will be happy you did! I recommend traveling in Thursday evening through Monday morning, if you are able to take that much time.

How long do Mastermind members have to claim a ticket?

Mastermind members (and graduates) have until February 14th to claim a ticket before they are opened up to the general public. If you choose to wait until after Feb 14, you are still able to buy a ticket at the Mastermind VIP price, but it is not guaranteed they will still be available.

How many tickets am I allowed to purchase?

We are allowing Mastermind companies to purchase 2 tickets per company (if you wish to). Both tickets are offered at the Mastermind VIP price. Please note: both tickets must be used by your company. You cannot purchase a ticket for a non-Mastermind member at the Mastermind member price.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

Once a ticket is purchased, no refunds are offered, as a seat was held for you and we need a clear headcount of who to count on for this event. If you are unable to come, you are welcome to sell or gift your ticket to another individual, and we are happy to transfer your ticket to someone else.
